Dinner 26/09/2013
I just had to share this experience. Ray and I went for a walk around town earlier, saved a dog from being run over (see photo on Facebook ) spent $25 on sun cream (well it is Espagna and there is sun) and then went for a drink around 7 pm. If you ever want a cheap holiday, all you gotta do is walk, ride or horse it along the Camino way. This morning we stopped for coffee and tea, which cost 2 euro. Then tonight, we had a beer and a wine and some hot chips and meaty thing for 3 euro. Then at 10 (yep, jane that is 10 pm) we decided to have dinner. We chose from the pilgrim's menu. It was a 3 course meal (delicious) for two with a bottle of wine for 19 euro - approaching the Tandoori Taj's prices.
You can also get very cheap accommodation for about 5 euro, but look out for the bed bugs. Two girls arrived tonight with horrible welts from bed bugs. Thank god Ray hadn't heard of the cheap digs or we would have been there. Our accommodation is so upmarket I have to dress up to go into the room!
Anyway, I must away and get my energy sleep for tomorrow's ride.
